Japanese DJ/producer Carpainters turns the glimmering, slow-pulsed pop of Slow Magic’s “Shivers” (off the masked music maker’s Float album) into a romp of joyous future house. MNDR’s vocals are perhaps the most recognizable element from the original version, albeit her voice is playfully processed here, with swooshing, stereo-panned synths and bubbling percussion dancing atop the rousing four-on-the-floor beat.
