Working from a minimalist palette of soft hues and textures, Manatee Commune’s light brushstrokes offer a dreamy contrast for MNDR’s crisp, close-mic-ed vocals —  it’s a re-imagination that’s all at once buoyant and emotive. Instupendo continues this chimerical approach, yet while his beats are more pronounced, the blurred notes of a calliope give way to electronic pop bliss.
