“In the early 80s, a group of artists (though they would describe themselves as punks) following DIY ethics and esthetics, became active in the underground scene of Toronto, Canada, shooting experimental films on Super 8. Among them was Bruce LaBruce , who would later continue to follow these ideas in his cult films, the writer G.B. Jones and filmmaker Candy Parker, who collaborated with Bruce LaBruce on what became known as Bruce and Pepper Wayne Gacy’s Home Movies. These products helped to launch the so-called Homocore or Queercore movement. Here we can see Candy Parker’s film “Sex Bombs”, in which Bruce LaBruce acts. I guess “acts” is the right word.” -Flaser.com
